Who is behind it

Gut Guntrams 11 belongs to Dr. Stefan M. Gergely, born 1950, studied chemist and musician. He worked as a journalist for profil, ORF, Süddeutsche Zeitung and Die Zeit in Hamburg, and wrote numerous books, including “Nahrung, Ernährung, Gesundheit” (Food, Nutrition, Health), “Diät – aber wie” (Diet – But How) and “Mikroelektronik” (Microelectronics). From the time of its birth in the 1980s, he was a member of the Codex Commission for Organic Agriculture at the Ministry of Health and a consultant at the private Food Research Institute in Vienna. From the mid-1990s onwards, Gergely wrote about wines and spirits for the Guide Gault Millau and served on the head jury of the Destillata tasting for twenty years. From 1990 to 2015, he opened and managed gastronomic establishments and renovated monument protected buildings in the so-called Schlossquadrat in Vienna, district of Margareten.

Reinhard Adelsberger is responsible for agriculture, gastronomy and accommodation at Gut Guntrams. He comes from Scheibbs, graduated from the Höhere Lehranstalt für Tourismus and successfully completed training as an animal keeper, skilled agricultural worker and fruit tree keeper. For more than 20 years he worked as a restaurant manager in pubs and as an animal keeper in the animal hospital Strebersdorf and the ARGE Parrot Protection.

His wife Sigrid Adelsberger was also born in Scheibbs. She studied Technical Chemistry at the Vienna University of Technology, her Bachelor’s topic was “Evaluation of the use of grape pomace and seeds in cosmetics”. Ms Adelsberger worked at the Federal Environment Agency in the departments of Organic Analysis and Environmental Analysis and Chemicals. She is currently studying for a diploma in pharmacy and works in a pharmacy.
